Abstract : This paper aims to focus on the relationship with government policies and the PMI index on production and sales of manufacturing industries. Purchasing managers index helps us to show the growth of manufacturing sector of the economy. Purchasing managers index(PMI) elucidate the health of the country’s economy, it involves the changes in production data based on the new product demand for the manufacturing industries, rise in employment, inventory levels, supplier deliveries and production schedules in the manufacturing sector. By reviewing these aspects we can bring out the correlation between the factors and the Production and manufacturing growth of the Indian industries and thereby economic growth of the country. © IAEME Publication.
