Abstract : Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have drawn a lot of interest because of the growing need for transportation systems that are both more effective and ecologically benign. HEVs, helps in lessen greenhouse gas emissions, relies less on fossil fuels, and improve overall energy efficiency. In this paper a simulation study on several topologies of hybrid vehicle is discussed, with an emphasis on series, parallel, and series-parallel combinations, each with unique benefits and difficulties. A MATLAB /Simulink® environment has been used to validate the findings. A comparative analysis regarding variables torque, mechanical power, state of charge of the battery and speed has been analyzed and results are presented.
