Abstract : Multivariate analysis such as discriminant analysis and variable correlation were conducted to understand the rapid solidification process of plasma sprayed Alumina-13 wt Titania coatings. This study focuses on the cause of preferential stability of the a phase in the as sprayed coatings of Alumina-13 wt % titania in a typical plasma spray process.
