Abstract : Rheology acts as an imperative parameter in deciding the properties of the epoxy matrix, thereby deciding its end applications. Flow characteristics of the DGEBA based epoxy resin Poly Ethylene Glycol-1000(PEG) systems were carried out to evaluate the influence of PEG. This is the first-time approach where the the flow characteristics of PEG loaded epoxy resins are evaluated by time dependant and independent models. The effect of PEG loadings was analysed in detail and it was found that PEG has a profound effect in influencing the flow behaviour of the epoxy matrix to a great extent. The experimental data showed a good fit with time independent model.
