Abstract : A new Isolated Single-Stage Power Factor correction(PFC) Converter for EV charging application is Proposed. Traditional two-stage chargers have low efficiency due to hard switching at the AC-DC stage. In this paper, a Bridge-less Single-Stage AC-DC converter with regulation of output voltage and power factor correction (PFC) at the AC input voltage is suggested for EV charging applications. The proposed circuit achieves Soft-Switching while operating in a continuous conduction mode(CCM). This study provides an illustration of the control method appropriate for the converter’s bridge-less operation. Through PSIM simulation for an input 230V 3.3 kW OBC, the working of the proposed converter and controller are Verified.
