Abstract : The non-renewable energy sources are getting depleted rapidly and as it is also causing global warming, it's high time to act and take actions such as looking for innovative and renewable energy sources. Thermoelectric energy is ideal for stable energy generation. The generation and distribution of thermoelectric energy are cost-efficient and time saving. In major cities and rural areas, energy management plays a vital role in controlling global warming. The central part of public energy consumption comes from street lights, clearly, street light energy management is very poor and here the loss of energy is taking place, IoT-based Smart Street light automation using Thermoelectric Transducers comes into the picture, where the switching ON/OFF of the street light is done by the sunrise and the sunset timings which are different for different locations and can be obtained in real-time from statistically calculated data of the latitude and longitude. The method of switching saves a lot of energy and helps in the proper functioning of streetlights. This method is cost-effective and needs low maintenance compared to the conventional LDR sensing method.
