Abstract : The superiority of intermediate layers in organic light emitting diode (OLEDs) is an essential factor for power efficiency, operating voltage and stability of the device. In this work, the comparison among 2 layer, 3 layer, 4 layer and 5 layer structure OLED on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate/graphene oxide (PEDOT:PSS/GO) composite anode is discussed in depth. Better performances have been depicted in multilayer OLEDs as the number of layers are increased. This is due to their enhanced injection and transportation properties. Some important parameters are extracted that defined the performance such as, current density, luminescent power, singlet exciton density and recombination rate. A prodigious effect was obtained in the 5 layer device with the luminosity of 0.079 W/μm at operating voltage of 18V. Additionally, the incorporation of PEDOT: PSS/GO composite anode in multilayer device has enabled the path for OLEDs to be more flexible that can be used in circuits requiring very high flexibility.
