Abstract : This paper includes design and simulation results of Dynamic Voltage Restorer which is a power electronic controller to improve the voltage profile of a three phase system connected to a set of linear or non-linear three phase loads. The system will be tested under conditions of balanced source and load, imbalance in source or load and transient conditions of load switching. It is used to maintain voltage profile by reactive power compensation, elimination of voltage sags or swells and elimination of voltage harmonics and thereby improving the power quality or reliability in the distribution system. The controller circuit based on Instantaneous Reactive Power Theory is also redesigned for series active filter.
