Abstract : In the dynamic realm of cybersecurity, where traditional methods often fall short against spyware threats, a novel approach is explored. By scrutinizing digital device power consumption patterns, this study categorizes spyware based on energy usage intricacies. The aim is to provide a timesaving tool for cyber forensics practitioners. Recognizing a gap in post-malware exposure research, the project underscores the importance of time in crafting effective responses. Employing tools like Intel Power Gadget and Cuckoo Sandbox, the study conducts power estimation on ten malware samples. The ultimate objective is to empower cybersecurity professionals with proactive measures, fortifying the digital landscape against covert threats and preserving information integrity.
