Abstract : Nowadays, during the excessive heating or cooling condition, insulation is must require in order to maintain the desired temperature in house throughout all days. All the heating or cooling related equipment’s which consumes more energy. But for an insulated building, it doesn’t require any maintenance work which is ecofriendly and economic. This paper focus on the study of thermal insulation and its bending strength of wall panels with three different percentages of expanded polystyrene (EPS) bead placed on the surface layer of foam concrete with the constant density and water to solid ratio of 1100 kg/m3 and 0.25 respectively. The diameter of the bead was maintained 3 mm throughout the research. It was observed that specimens with a greater number of (higher percentage) EPS beads shows lower thermal conductivity with reduction in the bending strength.
