Abstract : pspan lang=EN-IN style=font-size:12.0ptspan style=line-height:115%span style=font-family:quot;Calibriquot;,quot;sans-serifquot;Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) are the new hardware entities for the hardware security. These are the security primitives which act as digital identifiers for the Integrated Circuits (ICs). Due to their random response generation and unclonable property their usage is widely increasing in the authentication and security applications. Some of the previously existing arbiter PUFs suffers from low uniqueness. To improve the uniqueness further, a new Feedback Oriented XORed Flip-Flop based Arbiter PUF (FOXFFAPUF) is proposed in this paper. The proposed FOXFFAPUF design is implemented and verified on the Spartan-3 and Virtex-6 FPGA boards using Xilinx ISE. From the experimental results, the average uniqueness is 42% and 44% on Spartan-3 and Virtex-6 respectively. These uniqueness values are higher than 40% achieved through Flip-Flop based Arbiter PUF (FF-APUF). The proposed FOXFFAPUF design is well suited for the identification applications./span/span/span/p
