Abstract : An eye is one of the way to distinguish the individual identity of each other. Eyes recognition is a personal identification system that tracks the eyes of a person to identify the person's identity. Human eyes recognition procedure basically consists of two phases, namely image compression and eyes segmentation. Five Modulus Method (FMM) is a method used for image compression. This methodology includes changing each pixel value in an 8x8 block of each R, G, and B array to a multiple of five. After that, the new value can be divided by 5 to get a new value of 6 bits per pixel, and its storage space is less than the original value of 8 bits. The FMM technique helps to compress the image by actually reducing its size and helps to represent the eye segmentation of the participants. The compressed images are used for eyes segmentation and it is done through viola-jones algorithm. This algorithm has been applied for fast and simple eyes segmentation from the input image. This algorithm has achieved high accuracy rate of eyes segmentation. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc.. All rights reserved.
