Abstract : In this paper, fault classification using bagged decision tree (BDT) is achieved for thyristor-controlled-series-capacitor (TCSC) compensated transmission line. FWHT is employed to guesstimate the appropriate features of the faulty data's. The proposed technique is fast in retort as it employs 1/2 -cycle current signal captured at the relay bus. After being competent with 768 circumstances, the performance has been authenticated on huge data (7040 scenarios). As per the studies performed in this paper, the suggested scheme is precise, fast and resistant to noise and stable power swing.
