Abstract : Ever-expanding utilization of wireless applications is applying pressure on the restricted, lacking, and expensive authorized range of frequencies. As a matter of fact, on account of allotment of fixed range, there is a high risk of several ranges of frequencies going underutilized. Spectrum sensing can be utilized for the proficient and successful utilization of the radio range. It recognizes the unused spectrum channels in cognitive radio systems. In this paper the vacancy of wireless channels is determined using peak detection method and effective utilization and allocation of the frequency bands is implemented using CSMA/CA with Backoff algorithm calculation.
