Abstract : Over the years Knowledge Management (KM) has increasingly regained its prominence and proved its efficiency as a critical market differentiator for most learning and servicing organizations in today's globally connected business world. Knowledge-centric organizations are always busy in stabilizing and synchronizing their organizational structures and shared responsibilities to cope with the additional challenges of finding newer and effective practices of harnessing and retaining knowledge. Modern organizations, following generally simple and flat organizational structures with predominantly established norms of business verticals, demonstrate practices that have developed out of the traditional and implicit ideas of established KM principles namely: discovery, acquisition, storage, sharing, reuse and documentation.
