Abstract : This work proposes dual input interleaved Single End Primary Inductor Converter (SEPIC) for powering electric vehicle, which helps smooth switching between hybrid power sources. The two power sources considered in this work are Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell System (PEMFCS) and Lithium - ion batteries. These power sources are connected across the dual input SEPIC (DC/DC) converter to power the BLDC motor, which is used in electric vehicle. The proposed dual input interleaved SEPIC converter helps to reduce the input and output ripple current below 3% when compared to series connected dual input SEPIC converter, which helps to drive BLDC motor smoothly under any load condition. The proposed system is developed, simulated and verified using MATLAB/Simulink.
