Abstract : Diseases that affect plants restricts the growth, quality and quantity of the plant. This in turn reduces the productivity and affects the growth of the farmers. Image Processing, which is an evolving area and now with various research works have come with remedies for detecting plant diseases. Initially the infected region is identified and image pre-processing is performed such as color conversion, feature extraction and segmentation. At last, the classifiers are applied to get the results. There are various feature extraction techniques and classification techniques that are discussed in this paper.
