Abstract : High-precision detection and quantification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is imperative for early diagnosis of several terminal diseases. Owing to their extended -conjugation and strong covalent linkers, porous covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have found widespread application in the benign fluorescence-based sensing of diverse VOCs. This article highlights the synthesis of COFs, and the mechanism of their action in VOC detection.
