Abstract : Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is able to protect critical loads against source voltage power quality problems in effectively nature. In this paper, in phase control and minimal energy control technique has been discussed under balanced, unbalanced and distorted non-ideal ac mains. The algorithm based on composite observer has been proposed for both techniques. The three wire distribution system is simulated using MATLAB environments. The performance results are obtained under various supply voltage disturbances. After study, recorded observations are found satisfactory according to IEEE guidelines.
