Abstract : It is very crucial to control time-varying parameters and uncertainty present in chemical processes. In this paper, proposed work represents the comparative analysis of integer and fractional order controller for time-delay system. To minimize the performance criteria (IAE, ITAE, ISE) with a restraint on the maximum sensitivity, fractional and integer order IMC tuning rule have been compared which is applied to the experimental model of the level control system. The achieved experimental model is used to assess the achieved performance with controller performance. For process model stability, the robustness of the system is tested for parameter variation.
