Abstract :
Due to rapid urbanization, the pollution and global warming are increasing at very higher rate. The greenery must maintain to minimize the effect of pollution and global warming. The management of waste should done in an efficient manner. Water level of the nearby rivers should monitor frequently to ameliorate the effect of floods. Smart street light systems are required to reduce the wastage of electricity. This research work proposes a development of novel IOT based application called twilio, which implemented using ROS. It facilitates the central processing unit to monitor and control the various sensor modules and send appropriate alerts to the mobile phone through SMS service. In this research work, we are automating watering greeneries, minimizing the wastage of water, monitoring the waste in dustbins, sending alerts during the emergencies like floods and fire accidents and implementing the smart street light system using SMS service.
