Abstract : The synthesis and study of one-dimensional (1-D) nanostructure is the focus of current research in mesocopic physics and in nanodevices [1]. Since the discovery of 1-D carbon nanotubes, several important approaches to fabricate 1-D nanostructure have been developed. In many cases carbon nanotubes are used as templates to fabricate carbide and nitride nanorods [2–5]. Apart from the above techniques the growth of nanowire from organic solutions has also been reported by many workers [6].
