Blind authentication based cheating immune XOR step construction for visual cryptography

Abstract : Step construction for binary image secret sharing, developed by Liu et al. [6] is the first deterministic XOR based general access structure scheme in visual cryptography. In step construction traditional XOR based (2, 2)-visual cryptographic scheme is recursively applied for generating shares. The advantages of XOR based step construction are, less pixel expansion compared to all other deterministic visual cryptographic schemes and ideal contrast reconstruction of secret. But XOR based step construction is vulnerable to collusive attacks. The existing share authentication and blind authentication based cheating immune visual cryptographic schemes are not suitable for providing cheating immunity to XOR based step construction. Here in this paper, we propose a Blind authentication based deterministic cheating immune XOR step construction for general access structure. © 2018 Academic Press. All rights reserved.
