Abstract : The Dipteracanthus Prostratus (poir) Nees was harvested, collected from Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu near Yercaurd (Salem District) and authenticated by a botanist. These leaves were separated from the bark, brought to laboratory under safe conditions and dried under shade. The dried leaves were subjected to soxhlet extraction using four different solvents such as petroleum ether, dichloro methane, ethanol and water. The current study reports the preliminary phytochemical analyses and anti-microbial studies.
