Abstract : Hydroponics is a technique used to cultivate plants by providing them with nutrient dissolved solution directly at roots, soil isn’t required by them. Although hydroponics has its merits, there is a scope of improvement in the technique. A medium can be provided between roots and grow chamber consisting of either sawdust, perlite etc. In proposed method the aggregate mixture substitutes soil for providing constant moisture to roots and is also convenient for installing certain sensors. Various sensors make it possible for the system to depict the values of various parameters and manipulate them optimally. Internet of things enabled remote monitoring feature allows the user to view the parameters and alerts from far away.
