Abstract : The phrase "Internet of Things" refers to a network of physically present objects that are linked to the Internet which has software, electronics, sensors, and other components. These gadgets' ability to gather and exchange data is made possible by this network. The technology enabler known as Constrained Application Protocol now allows applications to communicate with physical objects. The request-response approach is implemented for restricted devices via CoAP on the Internet of Things using a RESTful architecture. An improved CoAP is proposed to get beyond CoAP's limitations and build a successful IoT network. Data analysis is carried out by the processing unit at the network level using the integrated parameters that are swiftly transmitted to it from the network nodes. When there is mixed and inhomogeneous traffic, performance is determined using an approach with varying data rates. Significant advancements in latency, priority, congestion, and retransmission make reliable network communication possible.
