Abstract : The upsurge in technology has led to the higher amounts of electromagnetic waves in the earth atmosphere. This excess quantities of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) in the atmosphere can lead to health hazards in living creatures. Influence of EMR on each component of the ecosystem depends upon its physical characteristics. One of the major effects that occurred on human beings due to the continuous exposure of EMR is the thermal heating of body tissue. This will affect the normal working of different organs within the human body. This paper discusses the heating effect of EMR based on different studies.
