Abstract : Sustainability has become a focus area for organizations today. Management practices that are sustainable are a lot more favored than many of the traditional ones. Skill development and employee training are important contributors of organizational sustainability. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have emerged as a method of skill improvement that provides major benefits to all stakeholders. Given the role played by MOOCs in sustainable HRM, this study aims to find out factors in MOOCs that make it more effective as a skill update technique. To understand the parameters that influence user experience while navigating through the MOOCs websites, data has been collected from critical users (students and professionals) who have undertaken online courses. The effect of different attributes on the usage of MOOCs have been studied. The study tries to understand how a knowledge of these attributes can help the organization improve its training process. The study is relevant in today’s context because the role of training and the increased corporate use of MOOCs has various implications for organizational sustainability.
