Abstract : This review comprises a summary of the recent developments in the field of nanomaterials, electro polymers, and metal oxide-based sensing of cysteamine. An introduction summarizes the significance of cysteamine for curing cystinosis disease, various kinds of materials, and methods used for the electrochemical sensing process. The main content of the review covers the importance of electrochemical sensors as an analytical tool for the real-life quantification of cysteamine and the subsections describe the electrodes modified with carbon nanomaterials, electro polymers, and metal oxides. Highlighted the future perspectives and current challenges of cysteamine determination in the conclusion part.
