Abstract : The target of this study is to analyze how the school atmosphere influences the educational and character development of the higher secondary students notably among the twelfth standard students of Kerala. The school atmosphere highlights the atmosphere of the school which implies, school disciplines, academicians’ involvement, perspective of friends. A sample of hundred twelfth standard students was chosen from aided and unaided school students of Kollam district, Kerala. This study is descriptive in nature. A well-defined questionnaire was followed to collect information for this study. A five-point Likert scale has been used. The reliability of the questionnaire is .894, calculated using Cronbach alpha. During this study we have used statistical analysis, applied regression models, analysis of variance, the correlation between variables, hypothesis tests and as usual data presentations using graphs and tables. To analyze the data we used the statistical software SPSS.
