About

Multi-Scale Brain Function India-Italy Network of Excellencem

Welcome to MSBFIINE, where we look into a new journey to explore the application of neuroscience, mathematics, and computational modelling. Our mission is to develop novel methods and approaches to study the underlying mechanisms of the complexities of brain mechanisms and understanding both normal functions and disorders

THE
SCENARIO

MSBFIINE is a collaborative scientific cooperation between Indian and Italian research groups. The project was designed to promote novel methods and approaches for understanding complex brain mechanisms with the application of mathematical and computational modelling to decode brain functions and related disorders. This collaborative effort connected the expertise of both Indian and Italian scientists, working together to advance our understanding of complex neurological processes for mutual benefit.

THE
CONSORTIUM

MSBFIINE is a collaborative research initiative including a distinguished consortium of institutions and experts. The consortium brings together three esteemed Indian institutions: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. Also, it includes three prominent Italian institutions: University of Milano, University of Pavia, and University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena. Our consortium works to meet of neuroscience, mathematics, and computational modelling, sharing the expertise of these institutions to develop novel methods for understanding complex brain mechanisms. Through collaborative efforts, MSBFIINE aims to advance our understanding of brain functions and disorders, contributing to the global scientific community.

APPROACH AND
MAIN OBJECTIVES

The main goal of MSBFIINE is to develop a better understanding of complex brain mechanisms through the integration of advanced mathematical modelling, biophysical simulations, and the exploration of biochemical properties.
