The Kochi Intervention for tobacco smoke-free homes is an initiative to decrease indoor smoking among smokers residing in selected urban, rural, and peri-urban areas in the district of Ernakulam. By preventing indoor smoking, we aim to decrease the exposure to second-hand smoke among household members, especially children. Several community-level meetings, awareness campaigns, formation of children’s groups, and onboarding of Local Self Government leaders and self-help group members were carried out as part of the project.
