Academics

This is a three year course after B. Pharm graduation. The course is approved by PCI. The current annual intake is 10. There will be internship or residency for a year (in the final year) in the hospital.

After completion of the course the candidates can work fully as an integrated member of the health care team and help maximize drug efficacy, minimize drug toxicity and promote cost effectiveness. This program also has 2 phases like Pharm.D. (Regular) wherein the students have theory and practical classes in the first two years and undergo internship in the various departments in the hospital during III Year (Phase 2).

Eligibility
  • Pass in B. Pharm degree from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) with at least 50% marks for all the subjects of B.Pharm course from second year to fourth year.
  • Preference will be given to GPAT qualified candidates.
Selection

Selection will be on the basis of academic scores and performance in the interview.

This policy with reference no. D.O. No.F.2-7 1t2022 (CPP-Il) (c-1 14s46) dated 12th June, 2024 will remain in force for subsequent academic sessions until the issuance of a revised policy by the UGC.

Mess Fees Refund

Refundable after deducting the proportionate amount for the number of months the mess has been utilized.

This policy dated 25th January 2025 will be followed in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi for all the courses and will remain in force for subsequent Academic Sessions until the issuance of a revised policy by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
