M. D. in Emergency Medicine is a Clinical Speciality course offered by the Amrita School of Medicine.
Doctor of Medicine in Emergency medicine is a three-year postgraduation course. Emergency medicine is a medical specialty—a field of practice based on the knowledge and skills required for the prevention, diagnosis and management of acute and urgent aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups with a full spectrum of undifferentiated physical and behavioral disorders. The curriculum includes a large amount of general medicine and surgery including the surgical sub-specialties. The course gives a broad field of knowledge and advanced procedural skills in various field like surgical procedures, trauma resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support and advanced airway management.
Emergency Medicine Physicians practice in hospital emergency departments, pre-hospital settings via emergency medical services, other locations where initial medical treatment of illness takes place, and in the intensive-care unit.

Qualification : Candidates must have MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria : NEET PG – 2024 qualified candidates who have been allotted to Amrita School of Medicine by the MCC, New Delhi are eligible to report for admissions for the academic year 2024-2025.
