The year-long celebrations to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Amrita Physician Assistant Program (PA) began on October 1, 2022. The inaugural ceremony was held at Amriteswari Hall, Amrita Hospital, Kochi. The guest of honor was David E. Lizotte, Executive Director, Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery and Clinical Assistant Professor James Madison University Physician Assistant Program, USA.
Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director, Amrita Hospital inaugurated the event. Dr. Vishal Marwaha, Principal, Amrita School of Medicine, MV Thampi, Chief Program Administrator, Amrita Centre for Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Anand Kumar, Head of Department of Neurology were also present on the occasion.
