Amrita Darshanam, International Centre for Spiritual Studies (ICSS), introduced “An Indian Tale Box” for children to inculcate practical wisdom and values in a simple, engaging and child-friendly way through Indic stories. “An Indian Tale Box” unboxed its first storytelling session with “YĀDAVA: Celebrating Little Kṛṣṇa” for 6-9 years old on 28 August 2021 as a celebration of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Janmāṣṭamī.
The one-hour interactive storytelling session “YĀDAVA: Celebrating Little Kṛṣṇa” was narrated by Ms. Amritha J through storytelling, Kṛṣṇa bhajans and engaging activities. The session presented the story of Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa with his devotee Akkruran from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. The story propounded the moral values of true devotion and honesty, as well as the bad influence of greediness, among the young attendees.
The storytelling session was completed in the joyful vibrancy by the smiles and laughter of our 40 little participants from all over the world.
