A workshop on ‘Practical Exposure to Linux OS’ was held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on February 12, 2018. Around 70 students of various UG and PG classes attended the open workshop and got an exposure to the Linux operating system.

The session was handled by Mr. Sandesha Hegde, Professional Trainer, Consult N Corptrain, Bangalore. The workshop provided a hands-on session on Linux architecture, Linux booting process, Linux run levels, root basic operations and editors. A hands-on session was provided on Red Hat Linux installation and configuration on a virtual machine. In the workshop, the basic commands of Linux administration were explained and practically demonstrated to the participants.
