Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, organized a training cum workshop program for housewives, business persons and retired professionals on July 14, 2018, at the campus’ premises. The main aim of the workshop was to help participants understand the various features of mobile phones.
A hands-on session on Mobile Photography was handled by Akshay Siddharth and Ramya K. Prasad, faculty members of the Department of Visual Communication, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus.
The session included details like know your phone, basic photography principles such as rule of thirds, depth of field and composition, lighting techniques, shooting selfie pictures, photo-editing softwares, photo sharing options and apps like whatsapp and Facebook, accessories of mobile camera lens & tripod, built-in camera settings such as Panorama, Manual & Auto mode, Day and Night mode, Beautify option, etc.
The inquisitive participants showed great enthusiasm and tried out several techniques. They expressed their joy in learning those techniques and felt that they would be able to communicate better with their families and friends. The participants found the entire training and workshop to be very useful and requested more such training programs frequently and for a longer duration.
