The School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, conducted a two-day workshop for CSIR-UGC JRF/NET and GATE aspirants, from  March 17 – 18, 2017.

Pujaneeya Swami Purnamritananda Puri inaugurated the workshop. The Chief guest, Dr. A. Vijayakumar, Head, Department of Mathematics, CUSAT, delivered the keynote address. Prof. N. N. Menon, Head of the Department of Corporate and Industry Relations, offered felicitations. Another session was handled by Dr. A. Vijayakumar on the topic ‘Recent Trends in Mathematics’. The second half of the day was devoted to a problem-solving session conducted by Sri. Vinod. S., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, Govt.College for Women, Trivandrum. Dr. U. Krishnakumar presided over the second day of the workshop. Mr. Doney Kurian, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, DB College, Sasthamcotta,conducted a problem-solving session in the forenoon. Students from various colleges participated in the event. The feedback from participants was encouraging.
