On March 6, 2021, the Department of Computer Science,  School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, organized a webinar on Open-Source Performance testing for its UG & PG students. The main aim of the webinar was to make participants aware of Performance testing with an industry-oriented perspective to increase employability skills.

Organized as a part of the Alumni contribution activity, the resource person was Mr. Akarsha K. K, Performance Test Engineer, Excelsoft Technologies, Mysuru and also an alumnus of the department. Beginning the webinar with an introduction to the industrial scope of Testing, Mr. Akarsha touched upon various testing phases from basic introduction to present era along with various present-day development environments. During the session, he also discussed the working of various open-source tools like Apache Jmeter and Fiddler.  Stressing upon the need for testing in industry perspective,

Mr. Akarsha concluded the webinar by giving the 100 participants, mostly students, a very enriching experience.
