Vinay M. C., now an MBA-MS student at Amrita’s Bengaluru campus secured the first prize in the Mock Press Contest at Awaaz, conducted by All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore.
At that time, Vinay was a final year student of BBM (Bachelors of Business Management) at the Mysore campus.
He was asked to act like the famous comedian, Mr. Bean, and answer questions from students who acted as journalists.
“The press journalists asked me many questions, some of them provoking, that I was supposed to answer without losing my temper,” he later shared. “It was a good experience for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the session.”
Elaborating further, he added, “I am very attached to my parents and they want me to always be happy and make others happy also.”
Sunayana. N., Chairperson, Department of Management and Commerce, commented on this achievement of her ex-student. “These games shape future managers and give students an opportunity to gain more experience in the field.”
“We feel very proud when our students win in events like these; this encourages others also to participate in similar events in the future,” added Prof. H.V. Nagaraj, Principal, Mysore Campus.
Earlier Vinay had received the Best Manager Award at the Management Fest conducted by the Chinmaya Institute of Technology, Kannur, where Amrita BBM students from Mysore Campus had lifted the Champions Trophy.
