The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru and IIT Kharagpur organized a two-week ISTEWorkshop on Control Systems, as part of the MHRD program, National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT) from December 2-12, 2014. Under this program, IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur are working with engineering colleges across India to enhance the teaching skills of the faculty members of various institutes through live online lectures, tutorials and lab sessions.
The workshop focused on different modules such as Basic concepts of control systems, models and responses, system analysis, controller design and implementation and validation of systems.
During this workshop, the course contents were delivered by Prof. Siddhartha Mukhopadhyay, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur and Prof. Tapan Kumar Ghoshal, Department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata through online lectures.
The total participants registered for the workshop was 44 out of those 37 participants attended the workshop regularly. “The workshop was fruitfully completed with help of Management, Associate Dean & Head, Head of the Department and Facility department of Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, shared K. Ilango, Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering, Bengaluru.
