The Department of Computer Science, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus, organized a Two-day International Symposium on “Applications and Innovations with Intelligent Systems” from March 11 – 12, 2022 at its premises in Bogadi II Stage. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Anand Subramanian (Vice President, Theorem India).
In his inaugural address Mr. Anand emphasized on the use of technology for digital learning to enhance the quality of education which would help solve the real-life problems by developing substantial solutions. He also related the importance of blending theoretical intelligence with digital intelligence for effectively marketing the products.
As part of the symposium, technical talks such as “Machine Vision In Industrial Automation” by Dr. Jayavardhana Gubbi (Senior Scientist, TCS Research, Bengaluru); “Explainable AI” by Dr. Deepak Garg (Dean, School of Computer Science & Engineering, Bennet University, USA); “Artificial Intelligence in IOT” by Dr. Anand Nayyar (Professor, Research & Scientist, Duy Tan University, Da Nang, Vietnam); “Zero Shot Learning” by Dr. Vinay Kumar Varma (Duke University, USA); “Computational Models of Language: Challenges from a Cognitive Perspective” by Dr. Sutanu Chakraborti (Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Madras) and “Object Detection using CNN” by Dr. Mahamad Suhil (Technical Manager AI/ML, Standard Chartered Bank, Bengaluru) were organized.
Dr. G Ravindranath (Principal, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Mysuru Campus) presided over the event. Br. Mukthidamrita Chaitanya (Correspondent, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus), Mr. Adwitiya Mukhopadhyay (Organizing Chair and Chairperson, Department of Computer Science), students and staff were present at the occasion.
