Amrita students and staff were treated to a remarkable 10-day Unity 3D programming course offered by AMMACHI Labs. Gabriel Coleman, a lead developer from the University of Florida, conducted workshops between December 14th to 29th, 2022.
The Unity foundation training was a 10-day course designed to introduce participants to the Unity game engine and provide a solid foundation in its features and capabilities. The training covered a wide range of topics, including game object creation and scripting, graphics and animations and rigging, physics and collisions, user input and interfaces, audio, optimization, and deployment.
The workshops were very successful and by the end of the training participants were equipped with the skills to create and design game levels, implement gameplay mechanics, and optimize performance.
Gabriel Coleman is a Unity developer with over 10 years of experience. He is currently working at the Digital Worlds Institute, University of Florida as a developer and is responsible for developing applications for research purposes. He is passionate about the creative freedom that computer programming enables him to achieve and about helping other people reach their goals through technology.
