Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman – IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore won second place in the doctoral dissertation competition of the 2nd Indian Intenational Conference of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) 2022 organized by IEOM Society International, Michigan, USA and hosted by NIT Warangal on 18 August, 2022. This competition was for recent Ph.D graduates. Dr. Prashant completed his Ph.D in Industry 4.0 under the guidance of Dr. S.P. Anbuudayasankar, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore in December, 2020. This interdisciplinary research has been published in 3 conference proceedings published by Springer, 2 national journals and 2 international journals published by IGI Global and Inderscience, both in the top 50 Scopus percentile journal list. This research has also been showcased in the form of articles & columns in industry & trade magazines such as Indian Foundry Journal, South Indian Engineering Manufacturers Association (SIEMA), Iron & Steel Review and Metals Asia. IEOM society has 180 student chapters in 58 countries and organizes a series of state-of-the-art conferences for advancement in the discipline of industrial engineering and operations management in addition to publishing scholarly journals and certifications.
