The doctoral thesis of Dr. M. G. Priya, Assistant Professor (SG), Department of English and Languages, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, has been published by the German Publisher LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing.  The thesis titled “Whispering Reeds of Mysticism: The Concept of Divine Love in Select Poems of Kabir Das and Rabindranath Tagore” provides in-depth research on the poetry of the Hindi Bhakti Sufi poet-seer Kabir and the Bengali Romantic-nationalistic-mystic poet Tagore.

In the author’s opinion, they have certain similarities of ideas and they can both be taken as beacon lights by people allied to any religion or faith. Both the poets are universal in their vision and in the choice and the treatment of their themes. The book will be much cherished by those who have a keen interest in spiritual studies, mystical studies in Indian philosophy and Indian English poetry. The concept of divine love, as enumerated in select poems of Kabir and Tagore, is of special interest.
