The farewell function of nursing programs, B.Sc. Nursing (2010 batch), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2012 batch) and M.Sc. Nursing (2012 batch) from Amrita College of Nursing was held on October 09, 2014.
Sampoojya Swamiji, Anaghamrita Chaithanya, blessed the occasion. “Integration of latest technologies in the maintenance of high standards in work is the only way to attain success in nursing field,” noted the Chief Guest, Prof. Prasanna Kumari, Deputy Director of Nursing Education, Kerala, in her inaugural address.
Renowned poet and lyricist Sri. S. Rameshan Nair was the guest of honor. He enlightened the group with his thought provoking, blissful words and short stories. “Nursing is a rare profession in which the nurses can perform good deeds and deliver care with love and compassion,” he commented.
Prof. Jaya Kuruvila, Principal, P. D. Hinduja College of Nursing, Mumbai delivered the keynote address.
Dr. Prathapan Nair, Principal, Amrita School of Medicine; Prof. K.T. Moly, Principal, Amrita College of Nursing; Dr. G. Ganapathy Rao, Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Prof. Sheela Pavithran, Vice Principal, Amrita College of Nursing and Prof. Sunil Moothedath, Professor, Amrita College of Nursing also spoke.
