A technical talk on “Software Testing Using Selenium” was held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on April 10, 2018. The session was handled by Mr. Pankaj, Professional Software Testing Trainer, Hyderabad. The event was organized to introduce students to the testing tool for domain-specific languages where Selenium testing environment was demonstrated with examples of module testing. Around 60 students from BCA benefited from the programme.

Selenium is an automatic testing web-based application which has great demand in the industry. The main objective was to acquaint students with a comprehensive understanding of Selenium WebDriver, different modules and writing automation tests in Selenium. The session covered various concepts including an introduction to Selenium and its advantages, different flavors of Selenium, Selenium Web Driver/Selenium 2.0, Selenium-Grid, Selenium IDE and testing framework, the environment of testing and executing test suites.
