The SAEINDIA Collegiate Club of Amrita and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, proudly celebrated the remarkable success of Team Amrita Racing at SUPRA SAEINDIA 2024, held at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.

This year’s competition marked a historic milestone with the introduction of the Electric Vehicle (EV) category, and Team Amrita Racing rose to the challenge, securing the top spot in the overall static events. In an impressive transition from combustion vehicles to electric, the team designed and built their EV from the ground up.

Their focus on environmental sustainability led to the development of a custom battery pack and tailored PCBs, showcasing their innovative spirit. A key highlight of their project was the implementation of a cutting-edge wire bonding method within the battery pack, a groundbreaking achievement for their debut EV design.
