A session on Sustainable and Clean Energy Technology Innovations: Challenges and Opportunities was conducted by Dr. Deepak Waikar, Managing Partner, EduEnergy Consultants LLP, Singapore, at Sri Krishna Hall, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore on February 1, 2017.

In the session, Dr. Waikar discussed achieving synergy between conventional, and new and renewable energy technology innovations. He presented potential research projects in the electrical power and energy sectors. The session also addressed how the youth can engage in meaningful, safe, enriching, inspiring and value-added skills development program for synergizing technology innovations. The talk enhanced the knowledge of the students in the field of sustainable and clean energy technologies. It provided them an opportunity to explore further studies, research, career and self-employment opportunities in the sustainable and clean energy sector.

Dr. Waikar is also the Vice President of International Energy Foundation (A Non-profit Group of Scientists and Engineers), Asia-Pacific Regional HQ, Singapore, and Member of International Advisory Committee for the Institution of Engineers, Nagpur Chapter. He has been involved in education, training, research and management at premium institutions and academies (including visiting/associate faculty) for more than two decades. He has authored and co-authored book chapters, research articles and policy papers on power, energy, management and education related topics.
